Get Involved in International Community Service this Summer!
Description:
Be part of it with i-to-i! Our goal is to achieve 400 years of combined volunteering all over the world by the end of 2008. So far we have achieved 325 years which when broken down means we achieved the following: - Over 5500 children cared for on our community projects around the world - A minimum of 13,000 children and adults taught English in schools and community centers - Hundreds of animals protected including Turtles, Pandas, Elephants, Monkeys and more - At least 80 homes and structures built for families and communities in need - More than 8000 trees planted which are enough trees to offset the CO2 emissions of over 2,000 cars Are you looking for an exciting summer travel experience that will help get you ahead at university? Volunteer travel experiences will help you develop a whole bunch of transferable skills and they will give you an amazing volunteer travel experience to boot! We know how difficult it can be to find overseas volunteering programs that will accept teenagers so we've designed a whole range specifically for 16-19 year old! These 2-week placements are a great way to make new friends as you work together to make a real difference to worthwhile projects across the globe. Opportunities include turtle conservation in Costa Rica, media experience in Bolivia, working with orphans in India, conservation opportunities in Cape Town, South Africa and a cultural experience with tourism work experience at the Terracotta Warriors Museum in China.
