Description:
The St Hugh's College Summer School is a three week academic programme offered to high school students and teachers at all levels by a constituent College in the University of Oxford (England). Participants live and study in St Hugh's College. Academic instruction is by members of St Hugh's College and other colleges within the University of Oxford. Oxford tutorials are taken in an approved academic subject of the student's own choosing with a member of St Hugh's College or another college within the University of Oxford. Academic work is reinforced by related activities, including full-day excursions in and around Oxford and to other relevant sites. Upon successful completion of the programme, each student receives a Certificate of Participation. Students who demonstrate superior performance in their academic work may be invited to work toward a Certificate of Completion and recommendation from St Hugh's College for three semester hours of college credit. To earn a Certificate of Completion and recommendation for US university credit, a student must demonstrate superior academic performance in both written and oral work.
