Description: The prestigious school, founded by Empress Maria Theresa, provides optimum learning and recreation facilities for our junior summer program.

Standard summer program: 4 lessons of daily instruction (20 lessons per week)- Monday - Friday.
Intensive summer program: 6 lessons of daily instruction (30 lessons per week)- Monday - Friday.
Class size: max of 15 students per class (average 10)

Students practice grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and oral comprehension in systematically structured lessons. Emphasis is placed on language in real-life situations outside the school, using communication and language games and students work in groups and pairs.

Students of similar age are divided into the following age groups for language study and for social and cultural activities:
Group 1: from 12 to 14 years
Group 2: from 15 to 18 years

School residence for children aged 12-16.
(shared rooms) with 3 meals daily.

Students stay in modern two to six-bed rooms in the school residence directly on the campus and are under permanent supervision. Room allocations are announced on the day of arrival. Special wishes regarding roommates would be taken into account. Students of the same age but different nationalities are placed together. Approximately 150-200 students can stay in this residence at one time.

Three meals per day are provided at the school refectory. All students are accommodated full board. International dishes (and also Austrian specialties) are served at mealtimes.

Note: Students under the age of 16, may only leave the school premises with the written permission of parents or legal guardians and house rules must be obeyed. The school must be informed of any health conditions requiring special attention or special diets at time of enrollment.

Highlights: Located on the banks of the Danube, Vienna has over 2 million inhabitants, boasts an outstanding infrastructure, is clean and very safe.

Vienna is also a city of numerous museums and art galleries, including the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Art History), and outstanding schools and scientific organizations. Yet Vienna remains a relaxed and remarkably comfortable city.

The world-famous coffee houses allow visitors to relax over pastries topped with "Schlag" (whipped cream). Though Vienna may seem straight-laced and gracefully aloof, it frequently lets its longhair tradition down-and nowhere as freely as at the Heuriger in Grinzing, or in the "Bermuda Triangle", in mid-city.

This program has been designed for students who would like to learn a language but also enjoy a schedule of activities. The program allows the student to mix with other international students from around the world and local students, of the same age.
