Description:
Our summer school campus could not be better located. It is situated on a peaceful, secure and quite stunning pine wood area, which opens out to the beach and the beautiful waters of the Adriatic Sea. It is in the centre of a larger residential village called the "Villaggio Adriatico" which also hosts holiday programs for Italian teenagers during the summer months. Many of the international students have the opportunity to interact with the Italian teenagers in activities and by sharing rooms with them in the residence accommodation. Our summer campus has an extensive pinewood park, a wide stretching private beach, numerous sport facilities such as a swimming pool, basketball court, sand volleyball and tennis courts. It is the perfect setting to have outdoor classes and to organize sports and leisure activities. The campus is a fully equipped campus for a pleasant and comfortable stay. The school building has a several dining, leisure and activity rooms, TV lounge and many other facilities for students to use in their free time. School residence(shared rooms) 3 meals daily Segregated according to age and sex, the students sleep in triple rooms with private bathroom. Our young guests will be sharing their room with students of different nationalities and Italian students of the same age, also residing on campus. This will give students the opportunity to practice Italian outside of the classroom. Of course, if students wish to share their room with friends, this can be arranged if we are given advance notice - usually upon enrollment. Students are expected to make their own bed, help to keep the room tidy and leave bathroom, shower and toilets clean for other students' use. The residence is supervised by school staff at all times. The residential accommodation is available from the Sunday before commencement of the course to the Saturday after its completion. All meals are served at the residence restaurant. From the time our young guests wake up they will enjoy excellent Italian cooking. Three hot buffet meals are provided every day in the residence restaurant.
Highlights:
Our Summer Program located in Lignano, Italy combines Italian language tuition with sport and leisure activities. Situated to the South of Friuli, between Venice and Trieste, Lignano is a peninsula stretching in to the Adriatic Sea. Lignano is a popular destination for Europeans and it offers mild, healthy climate and outstanding facilities for sport and entertainment. With its lively atmosphere and excellent amenities, Lignano provides the ideal environment for study and leisure. Lignano is divided in 3 great areas: Lignano Sabbiadoro: the tip of the peninsula, the heart of entertainment, full of life and irresistible attractions for children and adults. Lignano Pineta: the green area of the city, a relaxing place in perfect harmony with the vegetation to which it owes its name. Lignano Riviera: the most recent area, where the new boat marina and dockyards are located. The Zoo, the "Aquasplash" water park and fun fair is also nearby.
