Description: High School/Language Program:

With 7 years of bringing teens, children and families excellent language immersion experience in China, Sino Language Gateway (SLG) draw on a long-term presence in the region, close connections with local society, and deep understanding of the intercultural, health, and safety issues inherent to study in China. The program are designed to provide excellence in Chinese language study with ample of opportunities to interact with local children and teens to reflect on the intercultural encounters in structured settings.

* Adult Program - Intensive Language & Adventure (Beijing/Tibet)

- 5-week program including 4-week of Chinese study in Beijing and 1-week of Tibet tour
- Accept high school seniors, college students and adults (age 17 and up), who wish to quickly improve their Chinese skills in a short period of time while immerse themselves in the culture of one of the world's most dynamic cities - Beijing, China
- No previous Chinese knowledge is required
- Intensive courses in modern Chinese at the beginning, elementary, intermediate, and advanced level
- Week long trip to Tibet, one of the most beautiful and unique places on earth
- Experience China on a personal level, and gain profound knowledge into the Chinese culture
- Learn about China across a diverse range of themes including language, history, culture, culinary arts, and current economic development
- Develop Mandarin language skills through direct interactions with local people and structured language classes

Qualifications: Qualifications for high school/language program:

- Be no younger than 8 nor older than 18 1/2 years of age upon departure; applicants younger than 13 are recommended to have one parent accompanied but not required;
- Be ready to adjust to the different values, lifestyle and attitudes of a foreign country;
- Be a student in good standing in the upper half of your class or have a C or better grade average;
- Be in good health and have excellent character references.
