Description: Combine a host family experience with Spanish classes and exciting afternoon and overnight weekend excursions to biological reserves, volcanoes, rainforests and beaches. With no more than ten students in your Spanish class, you'll have a lot of opportunity to improve. In the evenings, go home to share your new conversation skills over dinner with your host family!

Design your program to fit your summer schedule! Choose your start dates and the length of your stay, from 2 to 6 weeks. Start on a Sunday and depart on a Saturday.

Highlights: Afternoon activities include visits to butterfly and shade-grown coffee farms, Costa Rican cooking, crafts, volunteer opportunities and Latin dancing. Weekends are reserved for overnight excursions. The fiery Arenal Volcano, the protected beaches of Tortuguero (home of nesting turtles) and the rain forests and beaches of Manuel Antonio are just a few of the options. All excursion and activities are led by experienced chaperones, who also escort you to and from you homestay each day.
