Description:
Residential Immersion: Italian Language and Cuisine: Our summer program in Bologna, Italy, is designed for students completing grades 9-12 and focuses on Italian language, culture and cuisine. Previous knowledge of Italian is not required. Students and staff live together in two centrally-located private apartment complexes in Bologna. Students will learn how to live with a group of peers, in preparation for a successful college experience. They will share house responsibilities, shop for groceries in local markets and cook together, using traditional Italian recipes and skills learned in the cooking courses. The Bologna program will offer, on a bi-weekly basis, optional workshops and seminars on such subjects as art history, Italian film, and modern Italian culture.
