What is GCE O-level?

The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level Examinations (GCE 'O' Level) is a nation-wide examination held at the end of secondary four (10th Grade). The examination is administered by the University of Cambridge jointly with Ministry of Education, Singapore and is recognised as an international qualification throughout the world.

The standardisation of the examination allows GCE O Level to be a reliable means of assessing ability for entrance into tertiary institutions such as Junior Colleges, High School, Polytechnics and Universities in Singapore, America, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland and other countries.

The examination is conducted every October/November and is taken by students at the end of their fourth year in secondary school. The system is comparable to Britain's GCSE paper. GCE O" Level Certificate is considered exceptionally important. The examination is taken very seriously by local and foreign students.
