Description: Don't just travel this summer - make a difference in the lives of others and your own! Global Leadership Adventures (GLA) offers high school students around the world innovative international summer adventures that instill values of leadership.

The unique GLA Experience is offered in Brazil, Costa Rica and Cape Town, South Africa and consists of a combination of:

* Meaningful community service - volunteer with grassroots development organizations
* Seminars about the history and culture of the country - have a discussion with a man who was in prison with Nelson Mandela
* Fun and exciting excursions - sand board down the dunes on a Brazilian beach
* Learn first hand about the local culture - take a capoeira class!
* Language lessons- improve your Spanish
* An international student body - debate issues with peers from around the world

These program components build off of one another to provide students with a deeper exploration of a country and a greater understanding of the world around them. In essence, The GLA Experience changes lives by enabling students to safely explore new cultures, serve communities in-need, and challenge themselves with new ways of thinking.
