Don't just travel this summer! Make a difference in the lives of others and your own! Global Leadership Adventures (GLA) offers high school students around the world innovative international summer adventures that instill values of leadership. The unique GLA Experience is offered in Brazil, Costa Rica and Cape Town, South Africa and consists of a combination of: * Meaningful community service * Learning about the history and culture of the country * Fun and exciting excursions * Language lessons * An international student body These program components build off of one another to provide students with a deeper exploration of a country and a greater understanding of the world around them. In essence, The GLA Experience changes lives by enabling students to safely explore new cultures, serve communities in-need, and challenge themselves with new ways of thinking.
Highlights:
* Volunteer with grassroots development organizations * Discuss racial reconciliation with a man imprisoned with Nelson Mandela * Sand board down the dunes on a Brazilian beach * Take a capoeira class! * Improve your Spanish or Portuguese * Debate issues with peers from around the world
