Dates: 3 weeks: July 20 to August 9, 2008

Description: Don't just travel this summer! Make a difference in the lives of others and your own! Global Leadership Adventures (GLA) offers high school students around the world innovative international summer adventures that instill values of leadership.

The unique GLA Experience is offered in Brazil, Costa Rica and Cape Town, South Africa and consists of a combination of:

* Meaningful community service
* Seminars about the history and culture of the country
* Fun and exciting excursions
* Learn first hand about the local culture
* Language lessons
* An international student body

These program components build off of one another to provide students with a deeper exploration of a country and a greater understanding of the world around them. In essence, The GLA Experience changes lives by enabling students to safely explore new cultures, serve communities in-need, and challenge themselves with new ways of thinking.

High School Volunteer Abroad - Costa Rica

* Learn about Nobel-prize winning President Aries and the Central American peace process.
* Hike up volcanoes and explore lush rainforests
