Global Leadership Adventures (GLA) offers high school students around the world innovative international summer adventures that instill values of leadership. The unique GLA Experience is offered in Brazil, Costa Rica and Cape Town, South Africa and consists of a combination of: * Meaningful community service * Seminars about the history and culture of the country * Fun and exciting excursions * Learn first hand about the local culture * Language lessons * An international student body These program components build off of one another to provide students with a deeper exploration of a country and a greater understanding of the world around them. In essence, The GLA Experience changes lives by enabling students to safely explore new cultures, serve communities in-need, and challenge themselves with new ways of thinking. * The Summer Academy at Cape Town has been renamed to Global Leadership Adventures, due to additional global destinations: Costa Rica and Brazil.
Highlights:
* Volunteer with grassroots development organizations * Discuss racial reconciliation with a man imprisoned with Nelson Mandela * Hike up the Cape Town`s unique Table Mountain and relax to the amazing scenery * Take a typical drum class! * Debate issues with peers from around the world
