Description: Our sump camp is held in a beautiful resort in the Dominical area, and is where students will be staying for the majority of the program. It is nestled between the Rio Baru and the costal mountains, which are covered in lush rainforest. Its over 12 acres of grounds are covered with beautifully landscaped gardens, bubbling brooks and plenty of tropical birds in the trees, especially toucans.

There are 10 Bungalows, offering 4 rooms, each with private terraces and hammocks. These are spread throughout the property giving each a feeling of privacy and communion with nature.

Spanish lessons: 3 lessons of daily instruction. Our Spanish classes are small and personal with professional teachers and no more than 7 students in a level. Our material is especially designed for our students to make the language come alive. There are visits outside the classroom with teachers to markets, fruit stands, the beach and into town. Classes are conducted totally in Spanish, causing students to have to think in the language right from the start.

Highlights: On the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica is one of the country's most beautiful uncut gems, Dominical. From its turquoise green water to its fiery red and gold sunsets, the natural beauty of the area is second to none. The town sits on the Pacific Ocean bordered to the north by the Rio Baru, on the east by three thousand foot high mountains and to the south by dark, coffee brown, beaches and coves. One of the most striking features of Dominical can be found while swimming in the water, the town simply disappears. All you see are the tall beach palms and mangroves surrounded by verdant green hills reaching up into the mountains.
