High School in Australia (13 to 18 years old)
Australia
Durations of Program: 3-6 months and 7-12 months
Dates: Please inquire for specific dates
Description:
Students are enrolled at an Australian private or government high school for a period of a semester or academic year. The period can be extended indefinitely as long as the student remains a full time student. School attendance commences shortly after they arrive at the host family or once school resumes if the student arrives during a school holiday period. School fees are paid in full, both at private and government schools and host families receive payment for providing accommodation and full board. The overseas student participates fully in the Australian school (curriculum, school uniform, compliance with school rules) and has many opportunities to take part in extra curricular activities. Many Australian schools offer special programs and if a student wishes to pursue a special talent or field of interest while in Australia, Nacel can find out if there are schools that focus on this area. Nacel Australia has a unique arrangement in Perth, Western Australia with an outstanding Private School, English Language College and several government schools. Placements can also be arranged in Private Schools in Victoria (Melbourne) and South Australia (Adelaide) but are subject to schools in those cities having vacancies to accept students. Specific costs are negotiated at the time of request and will be approximately similar to Perth Schools.
Highlights:
High schools require that an I.E.L.T.S. test of the students English language level be performed in the home country.
