Rosehill College High School Programme

  New Zealand

  • Auckland

Durations of Program: 3-6 months and 7-12 months
Dates: Feb, Apr, July & Sept

Description: Rosehill College is a coeducational state school in Papakura district of Auckland Region, about 25 minutes drive south of Auckland city centre in New Zealand. This is on the urban edge of greater Auckland. Students at the college are from rural as well as urban areas.

The college has 1800 students and 180 staff. Rosehill College is a college which prides itself on its academic and pastoral achievements.

To ensure that all students feel part of the College and have an ongoing academic and pastoral support, we have a strong House system. This House system is supported by strong student support facilities with two full-time counselors.

The school currently operates an enrollment scheme to ensure that we do not become overcrowded. The enrollment scheme and the prospectus together provide information about enrollment procedures. Buses are available within the school zone.

Fee-paying overseas students and exchange students are welcome although a strictly limited number of places are available.

The College offers all students a comprehensive range of subjects from Year 9 to Year 13, leading to the National Certificates of Educational Achievement (NCEA). The outline of courses offered may be accessed through the Web page or a booklet from the school.

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes at five levels of instruction are available for all students, and include specialist courses in IELTS and Academic Language for specific subjects.

Rosehill College offers all students the opportunity to study languages other than English. The languages taught at the school are Maori, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. Students may enter these classes at the level of instruction appropriate to their prior knowledge of the language, i.e. Year 9 to Year 13.
