Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: June 6 - August 7, 2010 - Choose your dates!

Description: Cádiz, Spain
Explore 3000 years of history while enjoying the vibrant culture of Southern Spain! Cádiz is said to be one of the oldest cities in Western Europe, so you will feel like an archeologist finding the treasures of past millenia all over town. Another claim to fame is that Cádiz is the home to some of the liveliest festivities in the country. Located on a peninsula, Cádiz also features beautiful beaches and exotic plants.

The Classes
Classes start at 10 am and are held for 3 hours each weekday - almost entirely in Spanish! Your teachers will make sure that you get many opportunities to try out your language skills outside the classroom and learn about Spanish culture. For example, you may buy food at a local street market or visit an exhibit of Spanish art. At the workshops and social activities, you can get to know the other teens from around the world.

Cultural Activities and Excursions
Experience Cádiz and soak up the local culture through afternoon activities and weekend excursions! Get a great view of the city from Torre Tavira, enjoy a traditional Flamenco show or sample some delicious tapas! Trips to nearby cities are also included.

Accommodations
A homestay with a local family is the best way to immerse yourself in the daily life in Spain. Host families come in all shapes and sizes, but what they all have in common is a strong interest in sharing their culture. Your host family will provide three meals per day.
