Description: This placement offers a unique opportunity to combine language classes with community work in the Moroccan city of Rabat. Arabic is the official language of the country, giving you an ideal opportunity to make real progress, as you are immersed in it both inside and outside of the classroom. As the second most widely-spoken language, French is also very easy to learn here.

Our language courses will provide you with 20 hours of classroom time in either Arabic or French with a skilled language professional. Alongside these classes you and your fellow volunteers will work on vital community projects in one of our partner orphanages or day care centers in Rabat. Daily tasks range from playing games with the children, helping them with homework and basic hygiene and assisting staff at meal times.

Throughout your placement and visit to Morocco you will have ample opportunity to enhance your language skills. You will live with an Arabic or French speaking family who will encourage you to practice at home as much as possible. On the weekend you will enjoy a relaxing trip to the beach.

All accommodation is organized, paid for and monitored by Projects Abroad. All project placements are regularly visited and checked. We require high standards of supervision and accommodation, which are verified before you arrive in Morocco.
