Description: Developing World Connections volunteers who choose Rwanda will make an important gesture of international solidarity. By visiting the people and witnessing the legacy of violence, volunteers honour the country's effort to rebuild for a sustainable and peaceful future. in collaboration with Building Bridges with Rwanda, participants will support the villages in the south-east area of Rwanda. Volunteers will work with locals to build community and important community infrastructure.

Highlights: Volunteers benefit from working in a group, which offers the sense of team work and group accomplishment. Volunteers work with and alongside locals. By working together, one benefits from a real sense of global citizenship and solidarity. All experiences are led by an experienced team leader who helps facilitate the experience. Volunteers benefit from the lasting friendships developed and from the life changing impact of such a unique and meaningful experience. Participants may choose to spend time afterwards exploring some of the most beautiful scenery, exotic sites and rich cultural heritage of Rwanda.

Typical Volunteer: Developing World Connections volunteers come from all different backgrounds, professions and ages. People as old as 13 and as young as 83 have participated on a volunteer experience!
