Description: Westcoast Connection is in our 28th summer of showing teenagers the summer of a lifetime. We offer Active Teen Tours as well as Adventures, Community Service, Language Immersion, Pre-College Enrichment, and Ski/Snowboard programs. Our itineraries travel throughout the United States including Alaska and Hawaii, Canada, Europe, Australia, Costa Rica, Africa, China, Peru, Israel, and Belize.

The U.S. Explorer by Westcoast Connection is a 40-day program. The trip begins in New York and continues onto the following locations: Cornell, Niagara Falls, Cleveland, Ann Arbor, Chicago, Minneapolis, Mitchell, Mt. Rushmore, Rapid City, Cody, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Park City, Salt Lake City, Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles, Pacific Beach, Lake Tahoe and San Francisco.

Our adventure begins with transportation included from New York to the tour starting point at Cornell University. For the convenience of tour members from locations other than NY, NJ, CT & PA, chaperoned accommodations are included for the evening prior to departure.

* Niagara Falls
Feel the thunderous falls as you ride the Maid of the Mist. Ultimate Niagara River jet boat thrill ride through Devil's Hole Rapids. See the Falls lit up at night

* U Michigan/Ann Arbor
Enjoy a world-class stay on a Big Ten Campus including ice skating, canoeing and playing wacky whirlyball - it's like basketball & lacrosse combined in bumper cars!

* Chicago
Enjoy 3 amazing nights at deluxe Omni Hotel right on famous Magnificent Mile - Michigan Avenue! Live show - Blue Man Group. Laugh the night away at the famous Second City Comedy Club! Ride amazing Alpine Coaster. Exciting Lagoon-a-Beach Water & Amusement Park. Sleep in and choose fitness club, or poolside lounging at the amazing Park City Peaks Hotel.

* The Canyons
Zion National Park means sculptured canyons, soaring cliffs and dramatic landscapes. Walk through the spectacularly colored pinnacles at Bryce Canyon. You will remember it forever - what more to say than The Grand Canyon!

* Las Vegas
Two great nights and lots of pool time at incredible Monte Carlo Hotel! Tour world-famous Las Vegas Blvd. - erupting volcano, white tigers, Bellagio's dancing fountains and Venetian canals. Explore the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace, play the very latest at Gameworks. Dare to ride the world's-highest, the Big Shot, 1000 feet atop the Stratosphere!

* San Diego
Learn to ride the waves and hang ten with professional instructors at our Pacific Ocean surf camp! Encounter the animals of world-famous San Diego Zoo. Team up with new friends for Ultrazone laser tag!

* LA
Settle in at UCLA for four full nights. Discover the stars at Universal Studios and City Walk. Dine at the Hard Rock and laugh non-stop at the IMPROV comedy club. Stargaze on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and match hand prints in front of Mann's Chinese Theater. Visit the Museum of Tolerance and lend a hand at the LA Food Bank. Soak up the sun, fun and real characters at Venice Beach before crazy bonding Karaoke night! Check out Beverly Hills, stroll Rodeo Drive and see Mickey at Disneyland!

More Pacific surf and beach party to wrap up our time in Southern Cal!

* Lake Tahoe
Beach volleyball, tubing, and pro instruction in wakeboarding and water skiing. Play tennis, shoot hoops, or chill poolside at our camping resort. Sprawl the deck of our exclusive sailing cruise on the deep blue waters of Lake Tahoe!

* San Francisco
Amazing final 3 nights at centrally located & fabulous Westin hotel! Ride across the Golden Gate Bridge, then on to Fisherman's Wharf. Check out Pier 39 & tour Alcatraz prison. Sample Ghirardelli chocolates and ride a cable car to Chinatown for an authentic feast. Wobble your way down Lombard St., the world's crookedest. Cheer for the Giants or the A's.
