Description:
Thailand is an earthly paradise full of beauty and adventure. From celestial beaches to the ancient ruins of once mighty kingdoms now silent in their majesty, this country captivates the curious traveler. In Thailand, you'll experience the worlds bluest waters, world-class diving, saffron-cloaked Buddhist monks, temples adorned with mother-of-pearl inlay and golden buddhas, mouth-watering cuisine, elephant and tiger rescue projects, Thai cooking lessons, and the gentle smiles of the Thai people. This is truly a journey to be remembered. We'll hang out in Chiang Mai, a hip university town in the northern hills of Thailand, and participate in a worthwhile community service project alongside an indigenous hill tribe nearby. Kanchanaburi, site of the Bridge on the River Kwai, is full of WWII history, and we'll also visit a nearby tiger rehabilitation project for a chance to get very close to these majestic animals. Next, we'll jet down to the islands for a taste of tropical nirvana. Snorkel and dive in the crystal-clear waters, meet and speak with survivors of the 2004 tsunami, and learn about the high-tech safeguards that have been put in place since then. Bustling Bangkok is where we finish this incredible journey - a thriving city full of energy and life. We'll marvel at the Emerald Buddha and the Royal Palace, as well as the famed floating markets where you can fill your suitcase for the trip home. Safety is always our top priority, and you will be in good hands with our experienced, knowledgeable staff. Come experience the magic of Thailand with us this summer!

Travel For Teens's Mission Statement: Travel for Teens believes that teen travel should be both fun and enriching. Our programs feature choice in what you do, see, and experience, a dynamic that sets us apart from superficial tours that herd large groups from one site to another.
We visit the best of the mainstream attractions while offering the opportunity to explore the culture from a less touristy perspective. We interact with our host cultures, taking cooking and dance lessons, performing valuable service work to help local communities, and conversing with the people who have spent their lives living in the places we journey to.
We have crafted our unique programs to engender love for travel, hunger for learning, curiosity about differences, appreciation of similarities across cultures, and an understanding of what it means to be a global citizen.
