Homestays - Experience Another Culture from the Inside!
Description:
Description: Choose between two program types: Homestay Study and Homestay Immersion. On a Homestay Study Program, you will have small-group language classes each weekday morning with teens from around the world. In the afternoon, join a variety of cultural activities to explore the area. For example, you could visit an anime production studio in Japan, hike the Costa Rican rainforest, discover the beautiful castles of the Loire Valley, or learn how to make a tortilla espaņola in Spain. Most evenings and weekends are free time for you to get to know the everyday life and culture of your host family - and to practice your new language skills, of course! If you want to travel with a friend, meet other international students, enjoy activities and excursions and study the language together, a Homestay Study program is the right choice for you! For students who already have travel experience and a good grasp of the language of their chosen destination, we recommend a Homestay Immersion Program. With this program type, you won't have any classes or other scheduled activities and you may not meet another native English speaker for the whole stay! Instead, you will have the chance to completely immerse yourself into the daily flow of life of your host family. Practice the language in casual conversations, discover new flavors in your dinner meals, and have fun connecting with your teenage host sister or brother! Families are carefully screened by Andeo's partners abroad and volunteer to host because they are genuinely interested in sharing their culture and learning about yours. A homestay immersion program can be a linguistic and cultural challenge, and it is also an amazing opportunity to understand another culture from the inside. If you are a senior in high school and planning to go abroad after your graduation, ANDEO can custom design a Gap program for you that fits your goals and interests. Andeo offers Gap programs in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and Japan. Contact us for details!
