Description: FairPlay is a nonprofit organization that seeks to enable single mothers to survive and prosper. We select and train these women to teach Spanish to international travelers and volunteers, supporting them in an independent job with reasonable hours and a fair wage. This way, the women have enough time and money to care for their children. Their children, in turn, have the advantages of education, food, and the chance to do what children do best--explore the world and the opportunities around them.

In addition, we've initiated a homestay program for our students with local families. Whether you're taking Spanish lessons or participating in a homestay, you're not just learning Spanish or experiencing the Peruvian culture--you're contributing to the wellbeing and future of 22 families with over 50 children.

FairPlay provides information about local volunteering opportunities, both long- and short-term, and will facilitate contact between you and the NGO of your choice. Students communicate directly with the local organizations that they volunteer with; however, FairPlay will facilitate this interaction (including translation services, if necessary). Additionally, we brief volunteer organizations on how to work with foreigners best, and we provide volunteers with support throughout their stay in Cusco.

Highlights: FairPlay offers an airport pick-up service for all students. Students are also given the book "In and Around Cusco" free of charge. FairPlay's staff can also help with travel plans around Peru and South America at no additional cost. FairPlay offers a variety of social activities throughout the week, including Wednesday night cooking classes and Saturday morning volleyball games.

Although FairPlay's registration fee is USD 25, we also offer a special deal to supplement this. You have the option of buying a membership in the FairPlay club instead. With this membership, you receive registration plus advantages exclusive to membership. These advantages include access to the discounts featured in the FairPlay discount guide, use of the FairPlay club room (featuring books and movies), and participation in FairPlay's social events. The cost of the membership is only USD 45.
