During the 6-month course, students study a total of 3 subjects, including English and Maths as core subjects plus one option from IT, Science and Chinese. The choice of these areas of study reflects the fact that all potential follow-on courses require students to possess a high level of numeracy, to have a good grounding in English being able to communicate their ideas effectively, both orally and in writing, and to have a good understanding of the world in which they live. The option to study Information Technology and Commerce reflect current trends and increasing demands for finance and technological expertise.
