Description:
This programs is especially designed for teens, the prime resource for learning Spanish in a controlled and friendly environment, and at the same time, for living the "one in a lifetime" experience of discovering and joining this part of the world, which surely will open many doors to a brighter future. This program is an excellent opportunity to become deeply immersed in the culture and daily life of Nicaragua while developing Spanish language skills and making new friends.
Highlights:
- Fully chaperoned program - 3 hours Spanish classes daily (5 days x week)with study materials taught by native Spanish speakers. - Volunteer work at "La Casita Azul" ( 8 10 hrs./week) - Dance class (merengue, salsa, cumbia and Nicaraguan folklore) - Fully supervised cultural and recreational excursions. - A cell phone per student to facilitate the communication between them and their families. ( NLA is offering the equipment, the cell phones that will be given will be prepaid cell phones, each student is responsible of buying the minutes for their phones) - Round trip airfare from Miami-Managua-Miami (chaperon waiting at the gate in Miami Airport) (Airfare from hometown to Miami and vice versa is not included in the package.) - Certificate of attendance and achievement Qualifications: - Ages between 15 to 18 years - High school students - Good academic level - Outstanding behavior and a commitment to learning - Letter of recommendation from a teacher - One year of Spanish study. - Good health
