France
- Other Cities in France:
Antibes
Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Description:
St-Laurent Sports is an ideal program for athletic students completing grades 10-12 who are mature, responsible and interested in a pre-college experience where they study, live and cook with a group of peers. A minimum of 1 year of French is the pre-requisite for participation in this program. During the week students will start a typical day with French class. Three afternoons a week, students choose from a variety of sports: tennis, windsurfing, sailing, and martial arts. On other afternoons and evenings, students participate in a variety of social and recreational activities based on their interests. In addition to planned activities with the Abbey Road group, students will have plenty of free time to pursue personal interests, make friends and explore the town.
Highlights:
Weekend Excursions On most Saturdays and Sundays, students go on day trips to some of the most beautiful sites of the French Riviera: Monaco, Nice and its Old Town, Cannes, Antibes, the perched village of Eze and its famous perfume factory, and more. The Travel Extension During the last week of the program, the group will travel together to Paris for four days. The group will stay in a 3-star hotel located walking distance from all key sites and monuments. The itinerary will include visits to the museums of Louvre, Picasso, Rodin, and Centre Pompidou and to the cathedrals of Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur. Students will also have time to tour the River Seine and explore many Parisian neighborhoods.
